Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at primalinstinctbengals@outlook.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We post all updates under our AVAILABLE tab.

If no kittens are listed, we currently do not have availability.

You are welcome to:

• Check back regularly for updates

• Join our waitlist

• Or send us a message with any questions

We offer two waitlist options:

Priority Waitlist ($100):

This is for families who are 100% ready to welcome a Bengal kitten.

• Priority families are contacted first

• Given first selection when kittens become available

Regular Waitlist (Free):

For those who are interested but not quite ready to commit yet.

The purpose of the priority waitlist is to ensure we are placing kittens with families who are prepared, serious, and ready when the time comes.

Please note:

Joining the priority waitlist does not guarantee a specific kitten, but ensures you are first in line for selection.

Our kittens are typically $2,500 CAD.

Pricing may vary depending on

• Pairing

• Quality

• Breeding decisions

A non refundable deposit of $500 CAD is required to reserve a kitten. This deposit is applied toward the final purchase price.

Please contact us for the most up to date information.

Most of our kittens are placed as pets only.

Breeding rights are considered very selectively for established, registered, like minded programs that meet our standards.

Breeding kittens are typically priced between $4,000 to $6,000+ CAD depending on

• Quality

• Pedigree and pairing

• Structure and type

• Breeding potential

Each kitten is evaluated individually, and not all kittens will be offered with breeding rights.

If you are interested in breeding rights, please include information about your program when reaching out.

This is one of the most common questions we receive and the honest answer is that personality matters more than gender.

While there are some general tendencies, every kitten is an individual. We focus on matching you with the right temperament and energy level for your home rather than relying on gender alone.

General Differences:

Male Bengals

• Often more social and easygoing

• Tend to interact with the whole family

• Typically more accepting of new pets and environments

• Often described as playful and affectionate

Female Bengals

• Can be more observant and independent

• May form a strong bond with one person

• Sometimes more selective with attention

• Often very intuitive and aware of their surroundings

That said, we have seen very affectionate females and more independent males. These are simply general patterns, not guarantees.

What matters most?

The most important factors when choosing your kitten are

• Temperament

• Energy level

• Confidence and adaptability

• Your household including children, dogs, or other pets

We spend time getting to know each kitten as they grow and will help guide you toward the best match for your home.

What if I already have another cat?

Gender can play a role when adding to an existing cat household

• Male with male or male with female pairings tend to integrate more easily

• Female with female pairings can sometimes be more territorial, especially in adult cats

That said, proper introductions and personality matching are still the most important factors.

We do allow families to select their kitten, however:

Selections typically begin around 5 weeks of age unless otherwise specified.

At this stage, we begin evaluating

• Temperament

• Structure

• Overall development

We guide you through the process to ensure the best match for your home, not just based on appearance but personality and lifestyle.

When kittens are listed as under evaluation, they are not yet available for reservation.

We are assessing:

• Temperament

• Structure and quality

• Potential breeding prospects

Some kittens may be retained for our program, while others will become available once evaluations are complete.

Our kittens are raised on a combination of:

• High quality wet food

• Dry food

• And raw feeding when applicable

We will provide guidance on transitioning your kitten once they go home.

Our kittens go home at approximately 13 to 14 weeks of age.

They are:

• Spayed or neutered around 12 weeks

• Given time to recover

• Fully weaned, socialized, vaccinated, and ready for transition

We are not an open cattery.

To protect the health and safety of our kittens, we offer:

• Photos and videos

• Virtual visits

• Scheduled pickup appointments

Yes, always.

We are here to support you throughout your kitten’s life and are happy to answer questions at any time.
